360 describes the full 'rotation' of a virtual tour. A good quality
360 degree virtual tour should give the user the feeling of being immersed
in the environment displayed. Not all virtual tours give the feeling
of being stood in the centre of a virtual environment, some 360 degree virtual
tour providers create virtual tours that are more likened to scrolling
flattened panoramas or planar images. The word planar is used to
describe a flat or two dimensional image. Before booking a virtual
tour it is important to have a good idea of what it is you want
from your virtual tour and how you want it to look. Will you be
satisfied with a planar image? Or would you prefer a truly immersive
replication of your property? The best bet is always to take a
look at some of the previous work your virtual tour provider has
carried out. Always take a look at their demo virtual tour and
if you want yours to look like that then stipulate this to ensure
you don't end up with something you didn't expect. Surprises can
come thick and fast in the world of virtual tours if the wrong
virtual tour provider is chosen, so don't just look at the price.
