Object Tours

It is possible to create virtual tours of an object. Sometimes referred to as object VR, it allows the user to 'spin' or rotate an object on screen. Such movies are created by using either a rotating camera head or a specially designed turntable. The object is placed at the centre of the rotatable turntable and the camera is held in a fixed position. The turntable is then rotated a few degrees, stopped, a photograph is taken and then the turntable is rotated to the next increment.

The images are then blended together using specialist software.
