Panoramic Virtual Tours

The phrases panoramic tour and virtual tour are often used to
describe a variety of video and photographic based media. Essentially,
the word panorama indicates an unbroken view (see the definition
on the first page of this virtual tour guide), so essentially,
a panorama in that respect could be either a series of photographs
or panning video footage. However, of late the phrase panoramic
tours has mostly been associated with stills photography and it
is from here that Panoviewing is derived (see 'about pv' for more
information on panoviewing.co.uk).
One of the early 'panographers' was Bradford's David Hockney.
Between the years of 1982 and 1987, David Hockney experimented
heavily with photocollage, creating works he calls joiners.
A joiner consists of a series of photographs taken from different
viewpoints, arranged (overlapping) to form a single piece. By taking
the pictures from carefully selected viewpoints, and arranging
them in the right way.
